Dear Cami,
The final word is in, we're moving to India. I guess this means we go back to having a long-distance relationship. But one thing about us is we've never viewed distance as how FAR away we were from each other but how CLOSE we were. I thought it would be fun to go back through our homes dating back to good ol' Sandy and see just how blessedly close we've been able to be.
9579 Pinedale Cr to 9974 Falcon Hill - 2.7 miles away but at age 7 feels like MILES! Enough to hand-write letters to keep in touch.
9579 Pinedale Cr to Almost Draper - Like 8 miles or something like that. You moved so you could play for Alta and try and beat Skyline in playoffs...
Weber State University - one bedroom away and sometimes I shared your bed when you weren't in it.
Weber State University to Orlando, FL - 2323 miles close. I was off pursuing to wakeboard dream and you were finishing up what we started.
Salt Lake City to Laie, Hawaii - 2995 miles close. You working at the hospital me working at the beach, only a phone call away.
Salt Lake City to ROOMIES! - Finally we are back to living in the same house again. Sug Hood!
Sug Hood to Haunted Basement - Remember when you answered my cries of death when the ghosts of the great depressions past visited my room? Oh wait, you didn't :)
Haunted Basement to Lace Face's Place - When Lacey got two more roommates than she bargained for!
Lace Face's Place to 4623 - 5 miles away. First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage = HODDOGS!
4623 Holladay to 2220 Holladay - 1.9 miles close. First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage then comes some lame-o impossible to remember email address HydrogenMetholene AKA: H2.
4623 Holladay to Boston, Mass -3235 miles close. Wasn't that a cool adventure for you and Hans? And that's where little Elsie was made.
2220 Holladay to Somewhere in Mumbai, India - 8312 Miles Close and only a skype call away.
*Sigh* But I know that one day we'll be back to living hopefully as close as 1.9 miles away. I've given up the orange juice dream, you know the one where our families are so comfortable with each other I come over in the morning for breakfast and get in to your fridge and drink your orange juice...just like in the Burbs? (*note: that dream was flawwed on so many levels. 1 - you don't do breakfast, 2 - you aren't even up before 12 unless you have you be) But the dream of us having our families grow up together, drinking grape juice in the afternoon (better right?) and sharing a houseboat lives on!
For now, we'll just live our lives 8312 miles close.
First off, we did beat you in the playoffs. And secondly, "Please don't go, don't gooooo, baby I'm begging you to stay. Please don't go." Thirdly, I was up at 0715 this morning, and yesterday morning and the day before that. And fourthly, what would we do without skype? And fifthly, "Please don't go, don't gooooo, baby I'm begging you to stay. Please don't go." And sixthly, I'm going to go cry into my pillow now...
